Psychics and mediums often employ a variety of oracles to aid in their divinations. Some are commonly known while others are quite obscure. Personal preference plays a large role in the choice of divinatory aid used, as all are quite useful. Some of the most common divinatory aids include Tarot cards, Astrological charts, and Numerological reports.

Tarot cards have been used for centuries to divine the future. Although there are many different types of Tarot decks the most common deck is the Rider-Waite deck. It is made up of seventy-eight cards broken into two sets the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana is comprised of twenty-two cards while the Minor Arcana Is comprised of fifty-six cards. The Major Arcana is akin to the jacks, queens and Kings in the standard playing card deck although with different pictures symbols and meanings. While the Minor arcane is similar to the ace through ten cards and is divided in to four suits. Each card of the deck is imbued with meaning and there are multiple spreads that may be used depending on the question being asked and the depth of the answer that is desired.

Astrological charts come in many forms. The most well-known and informative chart is the natal or birth chart. This chart defines an individual by characterizing the exact location of the planets in relationship with each other and the sun at the time of ones birth. This chart lays the foundation for an individual’s disposition personality and path in life. Utilizing the exact time date and year of a persons birth an juxtaposing it with the current cosmic arrangements of planetary bodies an Astrologer can glean key information about an individuals future.

Numerology is the study of numbers and how they affect us in our every day lives. The basis of numerological analysis consist of summing numbers that are assigned to letters of the alphabet until a resulting single digit number between 0 and 9 is left remaining. The spiritual significance of this number can then be interpreted and an appropriate divination can be ascertained from the resulting single digit number.

Although, this is just a rudimentary analysis of some of the most frequently used divinatory arts it should be evident that each one is quite unique. In addition many occult historians have formed relationships between the different types of divinatory arts and the influences of one art form on another. Some go as far as to say that these relationships are more than coincidental but hold a more significant meaning. If you are interested in learning more about these types of occult divinatory practices there are many resources on these subjects available online and at your local book store.

As you can see Astrology, Numerology, and Tarot are fascinating subjects and worth getting familiar with. You may just find some uncanny similarities between what they say about you and who you really are. The similarities can be quite amazing at times even to an experienced psychic or medium.

Both hands must be viewed. with care and compared but the right hand is the most important , as on it we read the facts of life why the native has succeeded. , or why he has failed. From it we also see what use he has made of his talents and opportunities. We see the favourable growth of character, or retrogression, the development of hereditary tendencies, or the arrest of these improvement in health or the reverse. By the right hand also we can in a measure judge what the future is likely to bring forth.

Some Palmists give importance to the hand which the native work (Left handed persons).

No palmist can , however with certainty predict the occurrence of life . We. can only foresee the probable development of certain signs, and from the character, position, health, and other factors, draw conclusions and give a forecast.

The accurate statement so often made by palmists, regarding the future, are more frequently the result of clairvoyance God gifted or intuitive power, which many people possess in a high degree, sometimes unknown to themselves, and which they unconsciously use. This is a gift which may be developed by God’s grace but cannot be acquired, Used in conjunction with a knowledge of palmistry it is exceedingly valuable.

The left hand is the hand of possibilities of thought and heredity. On this we see the transmission of character and qualities from parents to their offspring.

Illnesses, diseases, and other tendencies marked on left hand may not develop in the “subject” but if the signs are there the possibility must be’ guarded against. If confirmed in the right hand, the danger is greater or the malady has already shown itself and the native has suffered.

Characteristics and talents seen in the left hand are inherent, or latent, in the individual, and we look at the right hand to see how far they have been cultivated or developed.

Characteristics, tastes, etc., marked in the right hand only, have been acquired and may be foreign to the person’s nature. Circumstances may have moulded his disposition as in the struggle of life a combative spirit is grafted upon a peaceable temper, or, the beautiful and artistic surroundings of a luxurious home.

Remember that left hand is the hand of thought. The signs of marriage, disaster, fame, position, wealth and other indications are seen thereon and unconfirmed in the right are not facts, but disclose only the desires, ambitions, fears and worries that agitate the natives mind.

When the signs are marked clearly in both hands, it is safe to state experiences already gone through, or events likely to occur, this according to the position of the sign and age of the person. For instance a star on the Mount Luna in the left hand would indicate anxiety for some one travelling by sea, or the death by drowning, of a relative or dear friend.

If a star is in both hands the disaster may happen to the individual himself, or he may narrowly escape such a calamity in which case a “square” should appear’ close to the mark.

Similarly is the position with all other signs on the left hand, they are either from nervous apprehension, or from sympathy for the sufferer. Qualities and talents well defined in the left hand and less marked in the right, indicate the want of cultivation of these gifts.

Illness and diseases marked on the right hand only are not inherited, but have been brought on by the mode of life, by accident, rashness or neglect of health.Students of Palmistry must not judge by one sign alone. The whole hand, rather both the hands must be read , opposing influences or mitigating signs taken into account, and allowance made for temperament, health, and other factors before judgment is pronounce

Mind machines, mind power, the mind matter phenomenon, the law of attraction, the field, the matrix, the force, the power of intention, the quantum mind, brain plasticity, whole brain integration, hemispheric synchronisation, the subconscious, the collective unconscious, the third eye, altered states, meditation, prayer, paranormal, mystical experiences, PSI….

A query into any of the above subjects will provide reams of data, opinions, and public debate intended to shed light on a subject that by its very nature thus defies public revelation. I have studied all of these subjects over the years in a bid to understand the full potential of my own nature and with every new understanding I have continually refined my efforts towards achieving what I’ve crudely been describing as mastery over my mind, or mind power.

With every process aimed at mastering a skill, there are stages of development followed by plateaus where it seems no progress is being made. And then, usually when you least expect it, another shift occurs and your commitment to the process is reinvigorated pushing you on to progress further. This pattern continues for as long as you keep with the process, until eventually something different happens. Your understanding reaches a critical mass, you experience a seismic shift, developmentally, you experience a quantum leap, placing you at the threshold of your desired mastery.

So far for me the stages that have played a part in developing my own mind’s power look roughly like this:

As a child I had an awareness that there was more to me than what my sensory systems could reveal I acquired a faith in an organised religion Experienced spontaneous mystical, transcendental experiences Entered a dark night of the soul, existential angst Lost my faith Experimented with drugs Explored various world religions Became and ‘accidental’ practitioner of self designed occult practices Inadvertently practiced ‘dark magic’ bringing me to literally death’s door Realised the ‘dark magic’ was a misuse of my mind and that my mind had far more power than I ever realised Being fearful of the power I had realised I ‘shut down’ Entered another dark night of the soul Woke up to the realisation that I had to make my mind’s power work for me – because my life wasn’t, but how? Conducted research on how to harness my mind’s potential A flow of synchronicities led me to various materials and mind machine systems Attempted to establish myself in self designed technique of meditative practice Used technologies to change my brainwave states Practised sending out love to ’the universe’ while endeavouring to stop all judgement Learnt a proper meditation technique: Vipassana, and developed a daily practice Experienced an increase in synchronicities, psychic phenomenon, manifestations, mystical experiences (this is ongoing) Realised increased mind control: more calm, peace, happiness Continued to utilise mind systems: binaural beats, rapid data transfer, Solfreggio frequencies … Shared my gained knowledge with those interested in aim of being of service and help Began serving at a Vipassana meditation centre to help others learn the technique Experienced a seismic mind shift

With hindsight, it is easy to see that I have always been travelling down a path towards enlightenment. A path, I believe we are all in fact destined to journey at some point.

In my own case, I have been quite caught up in what perhaps the sagacious would describe as ‘mind playing’, a realised ability to experience increased synchronicities, paranormal, mystical experiences, manifestations, prophetic dreams and so forth. Believing at times, they were the goal. They continue to be pleasant and they serve as indicators of my ability to attune my mental powers in certain ways, but the goal has, changed.

By developing my mind’s power I have realised a more important goal, understanding that the development of this power is only a step along the way towards something far more important: the purification of my mind.

Only now through direct experience do I understand that by purifying my mind not only am I elevating my vibration, allowing me to be one with higher frequencies of ‘the field’, causing all manner of good to manifest, but I am, most importantly, developing my ability to experience, at will, my divine being.

We are all divine, we can believe we are, have faith that we are, but to experientially know it is something entirely different. Our minds can be likened to a lens that our consciousness focuses itself through. When our minds are impure, they are out of focus, and we do not see ourselves as we really are. Truth, our true nature is obscured. We are in the dark, which makes us afraid and we act out of this fear, causing all manner of pain and suffering. Rather than masters, we become slaves to our minds and we are blind with it.

As a consequence of striving to develop my mind’s power, the fantastic irony is that while realising evermore of it, I have simultaneously surpassed my desire for it. Understanding that what I really want is to purify it, to be without any wanting, to be liberated from thought, to resonate as joy, harmony, peace, love. To be conscious beyond words.

So to you, who are sincerely endeavouring to develop your true mind’s power, know this, if you don’t already: it is but a step, a quantum step, towards the experiential revelation of your true nature, that you are a divine being.

May all beings in their own right time, know real love, peace and harmony.

In many of the vedic books that are available on the market today, readers can discover information concerning the ancient prophecies surrounding the Veda. The Veda are known to be the oldest scriptures in the world that deals with psychics, prophecy, and mystical powers and readers can find all of this information and more within vedic books.

There are a variety of types of vedic subjects to be found in these books from psychic to clairvoyance to mystical powers, but all of these are included within the ancient prophecies. The prophecies that were given within the Vedas were given to all of humanity and are known as reliable and authentic as well as to give special empowerment. Many individuals, for some reason or the other, have thought for years that the Vedas were limited to the planets and the universe, but is not the case.

According to many of the ancient Indian philosophies, which have been found within the Vedas as future predictions, there are ten ways to determine to truth. The Arsa is a statement of an authoritative sage, the Upamana is a comparison, the Arthapatti is a presumption due to some other known fact and the Arthya is a tradition. The fifth is Abhava or absence, the Shabda is a revealed knowledge, the Pratyaksa is a direct perception, and the Sambhava is a larger quantity including smaller quantities. The Cesta is a gesture, and the Anumana is the inference, which is based on experience that can come from reason or deduction.

Many vedic books focus on the prophecies of the past that have actually occurred, which were known as the last age of the quarrel or the beginning of Kali-yuga. Psychics predicted that the Tibetan Buddhism thirteenth Dalai Lama would be dethroned. He was. It was predicted that earthquakes would destroy California. They did. These are only a few minor occurrences that many individuals are familiar with, but there are many more predictions that are written within the ancient Vedas that have became real.

Westerns individuals are becoming increasingly curious concerning the variety of ways to increase their personal development within vedic philosophy. These individuals are thirsty to know the universal truth hidden within the philosophies that many of the vedic books contain. Many individuals have benefitted from the culture of vedic and these individuals are willing to share there own personal experiences with others in order to show them the way of the vedic culture, traditions, and prophecies. Individuals that have dedicated their lives to these traditions have found that it can make a major difference within their lives in so many different ways.

Vedic culture can help many to improve their moral standards as well as compassion for others and in the way they approach life in general. Individuals that study the ancient prophecies and traditions of the vedic ways encourage others within their common practice of this unique culture. They also work together building a network with one another where they can share compassion and understand of the vedic culture and how it can affect their lives.

Most of what I’m going to lecture from come from Cynthia Giles’ book: The Tarot, History, Mystery and Lore and some other resources.

The origins of the Tarot have been attributed a wide range of wacky sources paleolithic cave paintings, gypsy folk lore, Moroccan mystics and even gifts from space aliens to Egyptian priests!. Most of these stories are, of course, speculation of the wildest, most ridiculous kind, and only serve to muddy the waters when it comes to understanding the Tarot. If you’re going to use the cards, it’s important to understand where they come from so that you know their rich history, their potential and their value and not put faith in silly urban legends.

Tarot on parade

The first mention of the cards was in Italy in the 14th century, called “Tarocco” and used for games and already, authorities were lecturing against its use. The first known deck was made for the Vicsconzi-Sforza family of Milan, designed by the artist Bembo. According to Tarot expert Gertrude Moakley, the various characters illustrated in the major arcana represented the triomfi, or parade, that accompanied Italian celebrations.

Historians believe that there may have been other cards that existed to represent other characters but have disappeared over time. Few decks of Tarot cards exist for those early days, but there’s enough similarity in artwork to make it clear that the deck was in common use in that time. Some historians believe that the Tarot was originally only used as a gaming deck to play a game called tarocchi until occultists began using them for divination.

Taking Europe by storm

The next big milestone in Tarot’s history came in the late 1700’s when Court de Gebelen, a member of a secret society of occultists, came across the a game of tarocchi and became obsessed with the cards. He believed them to be imbued with important symbolism which he attributed to ancient Egyptian lore. De Geblen wrote a nine-volume treatise titled “Le Monde Primitif” in which he discussed the meanings of the Tarot. That he attributed the Tarot’s symbolism to the Egyptian’s was based less on any real fact than on the fascination that Europeans had with Egypt at that time, believing it to be the center of all of man’s early wisdom. Use of the cards for divination spread during that time, with a book by a man named Etteilla in 1783, in which he offered his interpretations of the cards. In fact, professional mystics began using the Tarot throughout Europe, although there was no consensus of what the cards actually meant.

The mystical background of the Tarot

Card readings have long been associated with Gypsies, although they certainly weren’t responsible for their creation. For hundreds of years, Gypsies made their way across the world, living by their wits and earning a living by any skills that they could market. Gypsies were exotic, feared and looked down on, but there was an aura of romance about them that caught the imagination of Europeans in the 1800’s. A book was published towards the end of the century called “The Tarot of the Bohemians,” attributing the Tarot to the Gypsies (who Europeans commonly believed came from Egypt). Interestingly, Gypsies used regular playing cards for divination not the Tarot.

In the 19th century, the famed mystic Eliphas Levi Zahed (whose real name was Alphonse Louis Constant) connected the Taror with Hebrew mysticism the Kabbalah. He saw the Tarot as a key to life, a tool that man can use to develop himself as a human being, as a way to grow so that he might find heaven. His work outlined 22 connections to the tarot major arcana, making it a tool to be used on the path to enlightenment.

The modern Tarot deck was most influenced by the cards used in the late 1800’s by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The order was founded in England by three men who, according to lore, found an old secret manuscript written in code, deciphered it as the by-laws of a secret German society, and received permission to start their own group in England. Years later, the woman who gave them permission died, and the German members disavowed the British branch, saying they never got permission after all.

The modern Tarot is born

Despite its contentious beginnings, the Golden Dawn became a very influential group, with two members in particular doing a great deal to spread the popularity of occultism Aleister Crowley and Arthur Edward Waite. Crowley, a protégé of the Golden Dawn founders in England, created a Tarot called the Book of Thoth. Waite created the Tarot deck that’s most familiar to modern users. Working with an American artist named Pamela Coleman Smith, Waite used a storytelling theme, utilizing characters from myth, legend and religion, allocating a group of symbols to each card that gives them unique meaning. His Tarot formed the foundation on which most decks that followed were based.

The next milestone in the Tarot’s history came in the 1920’s, when a Golden Dawn member named Paul Foster Case started a group in Los Angeles called Builders of the Adytum (BOTA). The BOTA deck is in black and white, created so that the owner could color the drawings themselves (it was a tradition in the Golden Dawn that each member had to make their own deck as part of their training). The group offers Tarot training to this day, although their interpretations of the cards are disputed by many divination experts.

Today, there are countless versions of the Crowley/Waite Tarot available, some with magnificent artwork, others less impressive. Whatever your choice of deck, using the Tarot as a divination tool is a personal experience, one that’s origins reach far back in history. Hopefully, knowing the background of this ancient art will enhance your connection to the cards, and to your own readings.

Sean M. Clarke asked:

This article provides a spiritual perspective on the life of the famous seer Nostradamus. Spiritual research has shown that the spiritual purpose of his life was to overcome his attachment to supernatural powers that he had gained through many lifetimes of spiritual practice. Due to a desire for fame and an intense fascination for his supernatural powers, he lost track of the spiritual purpose of his life on Earth.

Michel de Nostredame (1503 – 66), popularly known as Nostradamus, was one of the world’s most famous seers. His prophecies, 500 years into his future and into our current times have captivated the whole world. The Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) conducted spiritual research on the spiritual life of Nostradamus that contributed to his extraordinary gift. The contents of this article have been obtained through the medium of an advanced sixth sense (ESP).

In all cases where a person has psychic abilities or is able to look into the future, it is generally a gift due to past-birth spiritual practice. How we use this gift can influence our spiritual journey and the region we go to after death.

Spiritual research on the reasons for Nostradamus’ gift

Before his life on Earth, he had done spiritual practice in the subtle region of Heaven (Swargaloka). Because of this spiritual practice, Nostradamus obtained two types of supernatural powers:

1.	Supernatural power of vision i.e. he could see visions of what was to happen in the future.

2.	Supernatural power of speech i.e. he could verbalise what was seen or heard through the subtle and it would come true.

Spiritual research on the reason for Nostradamus’ birth

People who have supernatural powers generally tend to use them for worldly reasons either for self or for society. According to Spiritual science, use of supernatural powers to orchestrate any fulfilment of worldly desires for people or to gain popularity can have negative effects on the person’s spiritual growth. It is for this reason that people who have supernatural powers are advised to use their powers for their further spiritual practice towards God-realisation and only under the guidance of a spiritually evolved guide (Guru). A Guru directs the student to utilise his spiritual powers towards realising God.

Nostradamus had to be born on Earth to rid himself of the sway/hold that his supernatural powers had over him. His spiritual goal was to obtain guidance about practicing Spirituality to continue his onward spiritual journey into the further positive regions.

Spiritual research on the life of Nostradamus from a spiritual perspective

Through the medium of his supernatural powers, Nostradamus made many accurate predictions. Many times, he would clearly hear or see the future through the medium of sound or visions. In the beginning of his career, three divine beings from the higher subtle regions would guide him. They did this through the medium of Nostradamus’ supernatural power of vision.

Over the years, Nostradamus became over ambitious and invested a lot of time in his gift of seeing the future. He would receive prior intimation of many events through his divine supernatural powers. As he would disclose what he saw, people would come to know of future perils and take measures to protect themselves against them. This infuriated the ghosts, as their plans to create problems for people would be foiled.

Spiritual research indicates that his personal life was steeped in internal sorrow, which the people around him may not have been aware of. In the beginning, by virtue of his supernatural power of vision, Nostradamus would receive knowledge through visions/scenes. Over time, he got carried away with his fame and the accolades of people.

This defect in his personality weakened him spiritually. Nostradamus used his wilful action (free will) to get further entrenched in his fascination for supernatural powers and his fame. As a result, he deprived himself of further spiritual practice on Earth. The effect of ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies etc.) only made matters worse. Slowly the stores of his spiritual practice from his previous lifetimes were depleted. In short, instead of using his time on Earth to do spiritual practice and attain a higher positive region, he regressed from the subtle region of Heaven to the subtle region of the Nether world after his life on Earth.

More at: /> http://www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org/spiritualresearch/spiritualscience/Nostradamus/

We all experience healing in many forms throughout our lives. Our physical bodies heal with healthy food, vitamins, minerals and herbs. Our minds heal with positive thoughts and affirmations. Our spirits heal with prayer and intention. We heal on these levels because we exist as mind, body and spirit.

Many methods of healing seem disconnected as if they had nothing to do with one another. Nutrients seem to have nothing to do with intention or meditation. Affirmations seem to have no connection with healing energy. Reiki and medication could not be further apart.

With all of these methods working in seemingly different ways to heal, could they ever be explained by a common theory? Is there a fundamental process connecting all systems of healing?

In order to find such a common underlying process we must look deep into the essence of life. We must look deep into our bodies and the molecules that form them. When we do we find a fundamental process that is common to all life. We find that life has the special ability to evolve to higher levels of organization.

This ability is special because life exists in a universe that becomes more disorganized over time. Life’s special ability has to do with having a constant supply of something that keeps it from degenerating into disorganization. That something is called information.

The relatively new science of information theory may continue our understanding of the universe where quantum mechanics left off. Quantum mechanics shows that all things in the universe are connected. Information theory describes the universe as a large information processing unit.

Not only are we connected but we also exchange information with living and non-living things. A growing number of elite scientists now believe that all matter and energy consist of information. Information is at the essence of all things.

Leading edge biologists now know that life must have a constant supply of information from the universe in order to survive and evolve to higher levels of organization. Life’s ability to receive and integrate information is what makes it so special. We exist in a field of potentially active information. Whenever we breath, act or think we are in essence communicating with this field.

We commonly think that the information contained in life resides in DNA. Yes, DNA is an incredible repository of information and a product of billions of years of evolution. But you may have the intuitive sense that you are more than your DNA.

Your existence extends beyond your cells and physical body. Your being extends out making connections with the universe around you. These connections communicate information between you and the universe.

The new science of epigenetics has discovered other complex information systems residing outside of DNA. These systems affect how DNA is expressed. They connect with our bodies and minds producing a kind of an information feedback system to DNA. This means that both actions and thoughts can affect the expression of your genes.

You are an informational system. In order to keep on living you must somehow gather and integrate information into your being. The same goes for healing. Healing is an extension of the same underlying process of living.

Think of how one heals. Generally there is some sort of process in the body that causes disorder. For example a cancerous tumor may spread disorder throughout the system. Healing occurs when order is restored. Decreasing disorder is a result of the infusion of information. Perhaps a sick individual uses a number of information sources to restore order or heal from the cancer. They may consist of such modalities as medications, nutrients and mind-body techniques.

We can view ourselves as existing on several informational levels. For example, the molecules of your body contain information in how they are put together. Exposing these molecules to information sources such as nutrients constitutes an exchange of information.

The molecules of the nutrients interact with the receptors on cells and transfer information to elicit changes in the cells. Nutrients can be seen as information sources with the purpose of restoring order to the body.

Likewise healing prayer may also restore order by sending information non-locally to the body. There are a large number of studies examining healing prayer as well as the effects of intention on others and machines. The work of researchers such as Dean Radin at Princeton University has opened up whole new vistas of how human intention can affect the physical world.

Radin and his colleagues have conducted a number of scientific studies that show that human intention can have a measurable effect on people and machines. All of this research serves as support for the existence of a communication of information that occurs outside of the known laws of physics.

What are the prospects of understanding healing in terms of information? For one, all healing systems can be described as essentially doing the same thing, which is sending healing information to the body. Alternative and mainstream systems become part of the same underlying information-transferring process.

Second, we can organize sources of information according to levels of complexity such as molecular, energy, mind and spirit so that all can be used to support healing. Third, we can apply concepts of the science of information theory to fine-tune the exchange of information for each individual.

If all healing systems are seen as information transferring systems then seemingly disparate systems have equal footing when contributing to healing. Reiki is now seen to be as important as medication because it transfers information just like medication.

Reiki may work on a different level than the molecules of medication but both have the same effect of transferring information in order to maintain the order of the body and not letting it degenerate into disorder. The same can be said for all healing modalities. All have the same result of communicating healing information to the body.

How can you use information to heal? The beginning of all healing should begin with intention. Intention solidifies your purpose to heal and directs your actions so that healing information flows to you. Next you can look at all healing modalities as sources of information and trust your intuition. Your belief in a certain healing technique can really work to open up channels in order to maximize the flow of healing information to you. Also be aware that there is power in synergism.

For example using a variety of modalities like nutrition, Reiki, mind-body healing and Chiropractic can have a more powerful effect than using each one separately. Lastly, you can use feedback. All life relies on feedback in order to maintain order. If something is not working for you then either decrease the frequency or intensity of it or stop it completely.

Understanding healing in terms of exchanges of information may open up new fields of study such as informational medicine or informational healing. New systems of healing could emerge that combine techniques that may have previously seemed unrelated.

In the future alternative and mainstream practitioners may be able to communicate and work together with a common understanding of healing. If science is already beginning to understand matter and energy in terms of information perhaps the healing arts will soon follow.
